Job Title: Criminal Researcher - MUST HAVE production-based (deadline-driven) experience!

Description: Repetitive computer research, very quiet environment, tight deadlines. This is not a job for Criminal Justice majors - our client seeks candidates with experience working with tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.

Location: North Dallas (near 635/75)

Pay: $13/hr., temp-to-hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible to work between 8am - 5:30pm.

Job Duties:

  • Obtain results from court researchers and review information to confirm the finding of a public record.

  • Obtain information from online court access, including but not limited to various websites, and telephone contact to obtain and verify public record information.

  • Monitor and input the results of searches into our internal computer system.

  • Use required identifiers to verify public record.

  • Contact court researcher to obtain complete and correct information on missing/problem public record information.

  • Contact appropriate agencies, e.g. courthouse, district attorney s office, sheriff s office, and recorder s office as necessary to confirm public record information.

  • Ensure searches are returned from court researchers within a specific time period. If search is late, must contact the court researcher to find out why and notate the reason in our system to notify our client(s) of the delay.

  • Order public record searches through various systems.

  • Provide proactive statuses to our clients on orders submitted to us.

  • Notate searches (internal) using developed guidelines as well as free form notes.

  • Use developed guidelines to convey status information clearly and concisely to the client using appropriate and consistent grammar, spelling, and punctuation in internal computer systems and in written and verbal correspondence.

  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding client information; ensure proper destruction of confidential documents, and compliance with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) rules and regulations.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Working in a busy, production-based, and deadline-driven environment is REQUIRED.

  • Intermediate level alpha-numeric data entry skills are required (8,000+ kph)

  • Intermediate level spelling and grammar skills are required.

  • Computer literacy in an Internet/Windows environment is required. Keyboard shortcuts (CTRL C, CTRL V) required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook is required. Word and Excel are also preferred.

  • Employee must display a helpful demeanor, attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to be a contributing team member in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
