What will you be doing as a Customer Service Rep?
The primary function of this position is to provide customer service to customers and/or clients nationwide responding to their inquiries and providing information regarding all aspects of their association with the company. Ideal Customer Service candidates will possess clear and concise communication skills in both verbal and written correspondence, type 30 wpm and have strong basic computer knowledge. You will be trained on the various health plan offerings so candidates must be able to pick up quickly on training materials and the ability to pick up things quickly.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions
90% Receives and responds to incoming telephone calls.
Answer incoming calls in a professional, accurate, timely and courteous manner.
Ascertain the nature of the call and record information in the Communication Log.
Look up member information using information in proprietary systems and provide information to the caller.
Forward logs regarding requiring further research to the appropriate department.
Transfer callers to the appropriate queue if question is of a more complex issue (claims, authorizations, etc).
Look up member eligibility and benefit information in proprietary system.
Utilize appropriate resources, including those online; to provide timely responses.
Manage time to ensure calls are answered within required timeframes and appropriate follow up is done in a timely manner.
Meet or exceed minimum key job accountabilities established for Customer Service Agent 1.
Document all calls appropriately

What experience & qualifications are required?
High school diploma
Typing 30 wpm
1+ years customer service experience in a call center environment
Inbound call center experience preferred
Intermediate computer knowledge
