Title: Customer Service Specialist ***Must have high volume call center***

Pay: $13.00hr

Location: Dallas (Downtown)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm

SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position is responsible for providing information to customers regarding various child care service transactions (determine eligibility, facilitate requests, etc.), resolve problems, and discuss companies services to educate and engage our families. Position is required to provide high levels of customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Customer Service:

  • Answer incoming calls, and facilitate walk in customers

  • Answer calls and help walk in customers in a professional and welcoming manner

  • Research and assess customer needs

  • Ask open ended and close ended questions to obtain a very clear understanding of what the customer might need in addition to what they re asking for

  • Determine & take appropriate action.

  • This can include but is not limited to wait listing eligible customers, transferring to other providers, and authorizing services.

Customer Education:

  • Educate and offer solutions

  • Be able to interpret and communicate federal and state policies and procedures to customers in an understandable manner

  • Able to educate new customers coming into program

  • Able to offer solutions for other related issues customers might be facing example; if they re not eligible, offer other alternatives that they may be able explore

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills 1+ years in a customer service call center environment required

  • Comfortable handling large call volumes on a daily basis

  • Able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere

  • Strong computer skills proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required

  • Able to work in a team environment and be a team player

  • Possess efficient organizational and time management skills

  • Able to problem solve using resources
