CornerStone Staffing in Arlington/GP is currently recruiting for the following position:

Job Title: Eligibility Specialist - 2 OPENINGS

Location: Dallas, TX

Pay: $13/hr

Schedule: Must be available to work an 8 hour shift between 7:30AM - 5:30PM, Monday - Friday

Job Description:

Eligibility Specialist - must be able to work at the main office, N. Dallas or S. Dallas office - (Alpha and Preston or I-35 & Mockingbird or Redbird location)

As an Eligibility Specialist, you will oversee a caseload of customers to ensure positive employment outcomes. Position is responsible for customer intake, eligibility determination, and placement of eligible children in the appropriate childcare settings. Contacting customers will be required to gather necessary information and explain outcomes, customer rights and responsibilities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Determine Eligibility: Determine eligibility, maintain, and complete all eligibility records for case files, including eligibility screening, assessment of family needs, assessing of parents share of costs, and processing of appropriate enrollment forms. Must adhere to state and local policies, and accurately determine eligibility based on confidential financial documentation. Must be able to discontinue services when necessary.

Customer Service : Educate and offer solutions. Be able to interpret and communicate state and local policies and procedures to customers in an understandable manner. Educate new customers coming into program. Offer solutions for other related issues customers might be facing example; if they are not eligible, offer other alternatives.

  • One to two years of HIGH volume call center experience ***non-profit, government, or workforce development programs with direct experience in eligibility determination is a plus!**

  • Must be able to adapt to frequent policy changes and show flexibility

  • Must have above average critical thinking and problem solving skills, and be results driven

  • Ability to accurately interpret and understand customer correspondence

  • Must have excellent task management skills, which include organization, attention to detail, time management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing work

  • Strong computer skills proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

  • Must promote a positive work environment and have prompt and regular attendance required

  • Must possess outstanding business ethic

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

EQUIPMENT USED

  • Computer, Server, fax, scanner, telephone headset and all office equipment
