Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday, business hours

Pay: $25.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Inspects and monitors construction or maintenance projects to ensure compliance with design specifications and contractual agreements. Coordination, technical support and management for construction-related activities including; street and alley construction; street resurfacing; storm drainage systems and erosion control improvements.

• Provide assistance and guidance to inspectors and supervisors to facilitate their job duties. Provide construction management tools to the supervisors and inspectors to help the City manage projects more quickly and effectively. Develops project improvement techniques using feedback from supervisors.

• Other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

• Relevant experience in an office environment, preferably in engineering

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent writing skills strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation

• Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills

• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)

• HS diploma or GED required

• Working towards a Mechanical Engineering degree
