L ocation: Irving, TX ( Hybrid)

Duration: Seasonal

Pay: $19 hr

Schedule: Monday Friday *available for shift between 9am - 6pm CST | flexible for OT

Training

Must be available to train onsite for the first 2 weeks then candidates will be remote. In JAN 2024 all reps will return onsite for 1 week for phone support training

Job Details:

Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by pharmacy regulation, and only at the direction of the supervising pharmacist after their review of the prescription in accordance with The Company policy and procedure.Show initiative and take an enthusiastic proactive approach to work.
Process prescription refills to include: refill confirmation when appropriate, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation and process third party claims adjudication.Exhibit sense of urgency and superb multi-tasking skills.
Phone support will start in January 2024 - must be okay with high volume calls

Checks all orders for completeness of information.
Ability to read and interpret prescriptions
Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.
Checks all orders for insurance approval.
Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
Responsible for assisting Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care.
Maintains a neat and clean workstation.
Accurately process all orders in a timely manner.
Lift 40 pounds incase support needed in fulfillment
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

Qualifications / Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in a Data Entry, Customer Service or Retail Pharmacy
Pharmacy Technician License highly desired
