CornerStone Staffing is currently recruiting for the following position:

Job Title: Temporary Procurement Manager - until 5/2018

Location: Irving, TX

Pay: **BOE - please specify your salary range**

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Role Purpose Statement:

Temporary Procurement Contract Manager will support Category Manager to process contract requests by reviewing commercial terms and processing agreements with suppliers and our Legal Department in order to be signed. Procurement subject matter expert, working directly with suppliers, internal customers, Legal and Procurement Category Manager ensuring that all contract requirements are in accordance to expectation. It will be necessary to quickly learn the business, suppliers, systems and processes currently used to support the business. The Temporary Procurement Contract Manager will also perform day to day procurement support; provide ongoing tactical procurement support for product line changes of non-strategic materials and services as required by our Customer Service Centers (operational units) and headquarter departments. It will also be required that the Temporary Procurement Contract Manager initiates, develops and implements sourcing strategies for specific Indirect Procurement categories to ensure that savings objectives and targets are realized.

Internal: General Managers, Operations, Sales and Services, Finance and Accounting, Program Management, Legal, IT

External: Suppliers, Distributors.

Main Accountabilities

Review contract commercial terms on the field of Indirect Procurement materials and services

Take lead on supplier agreement executions

Work in collaboration with the Customer Service Centers to execute agreement prior services being performed or products being purchased

Strategically source vendors who meet the required qualifications

Participate in Request for Proposals for new or existing products and services

Provide input regarding commercial terms, negotiate and execute contracts for assigned categories and compare the assigned categories to industry trends and market standards

Provide direct support to the CSCs with implementation of new vendor program launches, with vendor management, and support sustainability and compliance with current programs

Assess, and pursue supplier development opportunities based on the expected impact/benefits to our business

Identifying changing needs and requirements for assigned products or services

Ensure that vendor performance issues are addressed quickly and should problems continue, provide analysis of alternatives, making changes when appropriate

work closely with vendors and staff to facilitate solicitation, award and contract administration

Review documents for requests of pricing (RFP), request for quotation (RFQ), and other information needed for purchasing services

Complete or obtain spend and procurement performance analysis


Model corporate values and participate as required in groups, initiatives and advisory bodies

Proactively support other departments and functions as the Subject Matter Expert

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience required

In addition, minimum of two years sourcing experience with relevant categories : Professional services, cleaning and sanitation, waste management and/ or other indirect materials and services.

Operations, Material Management and SAP experience a plus

Fluency in negotiating contract terms and conditions is required

Demonstrated competence in cost reduction and process improvement

Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)

Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office
