L ocation: Irving, TX (Hybrid position post training, but may go fully on site if needs change)

Pay: $19 hr

Schedule: M F *available for shift between 9-6 CST

Job Details:

• Collect medication lists and drug allergies from patients

• Collecting patient information to prepare for pharmacist counseling (includes payment method, shipping address, emergency contacts)

• Triaging calls all day and sending them to the correct departments

• Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by pharmacy regulation, and only at the direction of the supervising pharmacist after their review of the prescription in accordance with The Company policy and procedure.Show initiative and take an enthusiastic proactive approach to work

• Process prescription refills to include: refill confirmation when appropriate, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation and process third party claims adjudication.

• Exhibit sense of urgency and superb multi-tasking skills.

• Phone support will start in January 2024 - must be okay with high volume calls

• Checks all orders for completeness of information.

• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions

• Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.

• Checks all orders for insurance approval.

• Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.

• Responsible for assisting Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care.

• Maintains a neat and clean workstation

Requirements:

• 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience

• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred

• 2+ years of customer service
