Position: Accounting Clerk
Location: Fort Worth, TX | Onsite

Compensation: $20-$25/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Temp to Hire

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform complex cashiering functions and process student account transactions following university procedures
Assist students with tuition payments, financial aid adjustments, Military Tuition Assistance, and Veteran s Benefits
Resolve customer concerns with professionalism across in-person, email, and phone communications
Compile, post, and maintain financial records including invoices, payments, and related documentation
Research and resolve discrepancies in student accounts, escalating when necessary
Support policy compliance by reviewing procedures for adherence to local, state, and federal regulations
Collaborate in developing and updating departmental procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum five (5) years professional experience in customer service and three (3) years in accounting
Cash management experience including reconciling cash drawers and deposits
Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel) and email platforms
Demonstrated ability to critically think, organize, and independently manage diverse tasks
Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships across campus

PREFERRED SKILLS
Previous experience supporting financial operations in a higher education setting
Ability to manage high-volume customer interactions with diplomacy and patience
Familiarity with financial aid and veteran education benefit processes
