Job Title: Benefits Specialist

This role is a seasonal position, and for the right candidate, can turn into a long term opportunity!

Location: Lake Mary, FL

(Applicant must reside within 25-30 miles of Lake Mary, FL)

Start Date: Monday, 12/04/2023

Duration: Temporary!

Pay: $18/hr - $21/hr Based on Experience

Schedule: **Must be available to work a shift between hours below**

• Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays

• 7:00am - 7:00pm AVAILABILITY

Job Description: Perform specific reimbursement functions associated with completing a medical and/or pharmacy benefit investigation. Make outbound calls to specific payers to obtain missing data and enter the data into the proprietary system.

• Collect and review all patient insurance benefit information from the payer

• Provide exceptional customer service to all internal team members

• Resolve any requests in a timely and accurate manner and escalate issues accordingly

• Maintain frequent phone contact with assigned payers

• Report any reimbursement trends/delays to Supervisor

• Communicate effectively to payers to ensure accurate and timely benefit investigations

• Analysis of data and using good judgment to review data

The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the below skill sets:

• Medical/Healthcare experience OR Call Center

• Insurance Verifications experience

• Pharmacy Insurance / Medical Billing experience

• Medical office experience

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Experience in medical office or call center setting
