Job Title: Benefits Specialist

Duration of Assignment: Temp to Hire!

Location: Lewisville, TX

Pay Rate: $25/hr. BOE

Start Date: ASAP!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Dress Code: Business Casual (Wear jeans on Fridays)

Job Description:

Provides support to company employee concerns regarding HRIS, LOA, 401K retirement plan and unemployment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains employee-related data bases; prepares and analyzes reports.

  • Processes terminations and follows up with management, as needed.

  • Respond to all unemployment claims and hearings for each state

  • Provides day-to-day benefits administration services. Assist employees with any medical/dental claim issues.

  • Develops and schedules benefits orientations and other benefits training.

  • Provides daily administration of the Company s Retirement Plan.

  • Ensure 401K files are funded timely, and correct any errors if applicable.

  • Answer disability claims from insurance carrier or state-sponsored programs as required.

  • Manage EDA concerns and duties.

  • Ensure current policy is clearly communicated to managers and employees.

  • Process all invoice reconciliation for each carrier/vendor.

  • Ensure that any errors found against the invoice are timely resolved.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Training in employment law, employee relations and employee training.

  • PHR certification preferred not required.

  • Benefits and compensation programs experience required

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

  • Prior experience working with multiple state locations and the ability to work closely with remote offices to ensure program compliance and employee satisfaction is required.
