Job Opportunity: Bilingual Clerk

Location: Garland, TX
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (25 hours/week)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Patient Registration Specialist to join our team. This position requires a candidate who can effectively communicate with patients in both English and Spanish and provide exceptional support in a healthcare setting. If you have strong organizational skills, experience with EMR systems, and a passion for customer service, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Patient Registration & Check-in: Utilize EMR and Immtrac systems to register and check in patients.

• Answer general inquiries regarding vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases, via telephone, e-mail, or in-person interactions.

• Accurately balance the cash drawer daily.

• Review and assist with medical billing to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid.

• Support offsite clinics as needed.

• Troubleshoot and resolve departmental issues to ensure smooth operations and goal achievement.

• Prepare routine correspondence, complete forms, and serve as a liaison between departments and the public.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

• Experience with EMR systems (Electronic Medical Records) and Immtrac is a plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to balance cash drawer and handle financial transactions accurately.

• Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance reimbursements, including Medicare and Medicaid, is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
