CornerStone Staffing is in search of Collections Representatives that understand the sense of urgency to bring accounts back to current status but also possess the empathy to help the Account Holder regain financial control.

As a Collections Representative in this role, you have the opportunity to not only gain experience but you will be building on a long-term career with our client.

Job Title: Collections Representative

Pay: $15.00 **Merit Increase to $22/hr. once hired on**

Location: Winterville, NC

Schedules will be primarily Monday - Friday. Must be available to work up to 3 Saturdays a month and one Sunday shift.

Example Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday: Two, day shifts each week 8:00 am-5:00 pm, and 2 evening shifts per week 12:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

  • Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (day off if scheduled the weekend)

  • Saturday: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (2 or 3 Saturdays a month)

  • Sunday: 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm (One Sunday shift a month)

Job Description:

  • Collect delinquent automotive accounts in a timely, orderly, and professional manner while following all standardized collection procedures.

  • Meet performance expectations for collection efforts for assigned accounts based upon individual goals and objectives, e.g. minimum calls per day, contact percentage, promises/calls ratio and promises kept

  • Place or receive calls in priority order as established by management

  • Negotiate payment arrangements with clients to cure delinquency, evaluating ability and willingness to pay

  • Navigate and interpret various screens and relay information to clients accurately and professionally

  • Determine the cause of delinquency and the best course of action to assist the delinquent customer

  • Document all collection efforts for each assigned account in accordance with established procedures, which may include using action and reaction codes, rescheduling features, scratch pad entries, etc. in the collection system


  • REQUIRED 1+ years of recent collections/customer service experience in a call center environment

  • REQUIRED: Good Job Stability no more than 2 jobs in the last 4 years

  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills

  • Self-motivated and strong initiative to succeed

  • High School Diploma or GED
