Job Description
Join the City of Dallas as an Environmental Compliance Coordinator to support and enhance organizational compliance initiatives. This role is critical in maintaining regulatory alignment with environmental standards and operational procedures by leading audits, tracking compliance metrics, and developing documentation and training programs.
Job Title: Environmental Compliance Coordinator
Location: Downtown Dallas, TX will have to pay for parking
Pay: $20/hour
Hours: Monday Friday | 7:00am 4:00pm
Job Type: Temp 3 - 6 months
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage annual environmental compliance plans, including mock assessments, site inspections, and internal audits.

Assist with both internal and external audits to detect and resolve non-compliance issues

Review, update, and improve environmental procedures and regulatory documentation to ensure ongoing adherence to applicable laws and standards.

Analyze data trends and generate regulatory reports to support environmental management and decision-making.

Facilitate compliance training sessions and presentations, and educate staff on environmental quality control and best practices.

Attend professional development workshops and maintain up-to-date knowledge on local, state, and federal environmental compliance requirements.

Measure the impact of compliance programs using qualitative and quantitative metrics and recommend process improvements.

Organize and manage environmental compliance materials, documentation, and control records. Ensure information is distributed appropriately across teams.

Act as a resource and liaison on environmental compliance topics and support interdepartmental quality initiatives
Skills and Competencies

Solid understanding of environmental codes, regulations, and compliance standards (state and federal).

Proficient in conducting environmental audits, inspections, and root cause analysis.

Experience developing training materials and delivering presentations.

Strong analytical skills for data review and report writing.

High attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite and digital documentation systems.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and professionally.

Education: High School Diploma or GED (required).

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in compliance, auditing, environmental services, or business administration.

Certifications: None required, but environmental compliance training or coursework is a plus.
