Job Title: Court Clerk


Location: Sunnyvale, TX


Schedule: Monday-Friday, business hours (2 Month Assignment)


Pay: $17.00/hour


Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, processes, and manages all documents, citations, violation documents, and files for court proceedings and other legal proceedings within the town.

  • Gathers all violator information, prepares files, and imports all information submitted by officers or deputies involved in citations and violations.

  • Meets, engages, and assists various walk ins and individual who come in to resolve various citations; prepares documents for driver s safety course, deferred disposition, payment plans, and other details of violation actions.

  • Communicates with the prosecuting attorney and the presiding judge for clarifications on changes of the law pursuant to the current legislative update, scheduling court dockets, and relaying attorney information.

  • Advises and provides general counsel to defendants regarding potential consequences and general proceedings for violation and citation hearings.

  • Communicates with defendants involved in court proceedings; assists in efforts to keep defendants from defaulting on agreements and court actions; answers questions and facilitates defendant understanding and success

  • Typing, emailing, answering phones, and general office tasks and duties.


Job Requirements:

  • INCODE experience

  • Knowledge of Court proceedings, documents, files, and systems

  • Violations, citations, and other documents submitted by town law enforcement

  • Relevant experience in an office environment, preferably in an administrative position

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent writing skills strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation

  • Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills

  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)

  • HS diploma or GED required
