Job Title: Benefits Admin (HR Department)

Duration: Temp to Perm Opportunity

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Pay: $22(BOE)

Location: Fort Worth, TX - On-Site Position on the outskirts of Downtown

Purpose of Role

  • The Leave of Absence (LOA) Administrator role is responsible for administering the company s leave of absence program by responding to requests and questions regarding leaves of absence. The LOA Administrator is the primary point of contact regarding all types of leaves and accommodations.

Job Description

  • Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.

  • Handles the leave administration process from the employee s initial request for leave through to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining eligibility, designating leave type, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent leave use.

  • Approves and denies LOAs based on company guidelines and in compliance with all relevant laws, applying independent judgment.

  • Maintains the return-to-work process for employees returning from all types of leave.

  • Facilitates leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA.

  • Drafts and/or recommends revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.

  • Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests.

  • Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.

  • Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Human Resource experience is a plus

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal, written communication skills and independent judgment

  • Strong attention to detail
