The primary function of the Insurance Verification Specialist to obtain benefit eligibility information ensuring that the most updated insurance verification is obtained. This role develops and maintains

Location: Work from Home - All candidates must live in the Dallas Fort Worth Area & have a designated work space at home.

Pay: $18-20/hr. based on experience

Schedule: 8 hour shift between 7am-7pm CST (8am-8pm EST)

Job Description:

• Answering incoming customer service calls from medical insurance benefits providers and recipients regarding insurance coverage

• Responsible for health insurance benefits verification for patients

• Research medical benefit eligibility information with insurance carriers

• Responsible for acting as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and medical insurance carriers

• Ensures all patient questions are answered in a timely manner

• Responsible for obtaining all medical provider referrals and authorizations for medical procedures and services, as required

Preferred skills/experience:

• One year of healthcare call center experience

• Benefit verification - Prior Authorization

• Medical collections

• Prefer healthcare work experience and familiarity with medical benefits, medical insurance, prescriptions

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

• Co-pay, co-insurance, deductible

• PAP - patient assistance programs

Education:

• Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

• Criminal Background & Drug Screening

• 2 verifiable employment references
