The Healthcare Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the billing process for medical services provided to patients.

Location: Work from Home - All candidates must live in the Dallas Fort Worth Area & have a designated work space at home.

Pay: $18-20/hr. based on experience

Schedule: 8 hour shift between 7am-7pm CST (8am-8pm EST)

Job Description:

• Processing medical claims, and facilitating medical billing payments from patients and insurance providers.

• Prepare, submit and follow up on medical insurance claims to ensure processing and reimbursement.

• Verify patient information and medical benefit coverage prior to billing.

• Providing clear explanation of medical billing and payments options.

• Assist patients with medical billing inquiries.

Preferred skills/experience:

• One year of healthcare call center experience

• Benefit verification - Prior Authorization

• Medical collections

• Prefer healthcare work experience and familiarity with medical benefits, medical insurance, prescriptions

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

• Co-pay, co-insurance, deductible

• PAP - patient assistance programs

Education:

• Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

• Criminal Background Screening

• 2 verifiable employment references
