Job Title: Housing Development Coordinator
Location: Downtown Dallas, TX (must pay for parking)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay: $20.00/hour
Responsibilities:

Liaison between the Developer and Property Manager and our department

Invoice the applicant for the pre-application fee once the MIHDB verification letter has been issued.

Follow up with the applicant to ensure the check is received within the one-month timeline.

Upon receiving the pre-application fee check, issue a receipt, send it to the applicant, and prepare a memorandum and fee payment packet for the Compliance and Finance Team

Update Neighborly with details of the invoice and receipt of payment.

Follow the same process for on-site applications regarding program fees.

Prepare the required Restrictive Covenant documents by maintaining contact with applicants prior to the building permit approval for on-site applications.

Gather the required signatures for the Restrictive Covenant (RC) from all parties involved, required signatures for the Acknowledgment Letter from the director of the Department, any legal document from all parties involved.

Coordinate the collection of the Restrictive Covenant (RC) from the CAO, notify the applicant to pick up the document, ensure its recording, and then return it to the HOU.

Update Neighborly upon receipt of the recorded Restrictive Covenant (RC) and archive the document.

Maintain communication with the applicant throughout the permit review process to address Restrictive Covenant (RC) matters promptly for the on-site applications.

Stay in contact with the applicant during construction to ensure all required steps are taken before issuing the final Certificate of Occupancy (CO) for the on-site applications.

Collect all required documents necessary for issuing the in-compliance letter prior to the final Certificate of Occupancy (CO) for the on-site applications; the approved affirmative fair housing marketing plan (AFHMP), lease terms of market and reserved units to ensure compliance with the restrictive covenant, files for all reserved unit tenants (but not all market rate tenants), a letter documenting that the development has registered with one or more local providers of housing vouchers and has acknowledged that the development must pass the provider s required inspections.
Job Requirements:

Familiar with Word, Excel, and Publisher

Experience with rental properties, specifically in property management at apartment complexes dealing with rental applications and paperwork (preferred)

Knowledge and understanding of safety procedures.

Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to communicate with peers, staff and establish and maintain effective working relationships.

HS Diploma or GED required
