Job Title: Intake Specialists

Location: Dallas, TX

Pay: $20.00

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the homeless population

• Answering the phone lines for the Social Services Department, spending 90% of your time answering calls.

• Ensure the delivery of services and aid in the prevention of homelessness by promoting the program and developing awareness

• Answer incoming calls , incoming e-mails, interview and screen applicants to ensure accurate and thorough intakes based on individual circumstances

• Review applicant eligibly documents, identification, lease agreements, income statements, etc. to ensure applicants meet the program eligibility requirements

• Communication through email and verbal phone communication

• Attend staff meetings and other meetings as called

• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience :

• Must have experience in Social Work or case management

• Customer service skills

• HS diploma or GED

• Empathetic and compassionate personality

• Ability to build rapport with clients

• Positive and professional demeanor

• Written and oral communications skills.

• Computer skill required.

• Knowledge of social service resources preferred.
