We are seeking a dedicated Loan Processing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of loan applications for individuals and businesses.

Pay: $25 - $28/hr. (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Job Details: The Loan Processing Specialist serves as primary underwriter for all loan applications assigned to them. Must have consumer Lending Banking background. Needs Bank Lending experience. Need a candidate that is more familiar with loan processing, loan preparation and some experience of reviewing credit reports (ties into loan processing). The Loan Processing Specialist role will not have lending authority but will be partnering closely with our Loan Officers to help make a final decision on incoming loans. In this role, you will be assisting with answering phones calls from incoming clients, loan processing, document prep, app logging and communicating back and forth with our Financial Advisors/Clients on outstanding documents needed in order to make a recommendation to a loan officer for a full decision. Seeking a candidate that has manual underwriting experience.

Underwrites loan requests within policy guidelines and lending authority (Daily).

Collection / Investigation of all pertinent information associated with a loan request.

Complete financial analysis necessary to evaluate risk associated with a loan request.

Review / evaluate applicant s ability to repay.

Review the credit report to evaluate an applicant s willingness to repay and assess their debt load.

Reviews and recommends action on all exceptions to policy to the next level of lending authority (Daily).

Apply results of the credit analysis to underwriting guidelines and policies

Prepares / delivers appropriate loan documentation for signatures and reviews for completeness.

Answers incoming calls / Responds to incoming messages from field advisors and clients regarding accounts and/or products (Daily). (This involves basic customer service interactions concerning accounts, loan approvals, etc.)
Requirements:

3 - 5 years Consumer Lending banking experience

Seeking a candidate that has manual underwriting experience.

1 - 2 years Loan Service Representative role

Must be able to demonstrate strong client experience skills.

Requires extensive quantitative and qualitative (behavioral) analysis of a very diverse range of applicants and borrowing requests.

Must be very thorough and detail oriented.

Must be able to maintain confidential information.

Must be familiar with and able to operate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and must be able to learn other software and the loan department.
