Mailroom Clerk Needed!

Job Title: Mailroom Clerk

Duration: Temp to Perm Opportunity

Pay: $15/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Location: Fort Worth


Qualified individuals will have a strong attention to detail and possess the ability to perform numerous different functions throughout the day. This individual must be a team player and be ready to contribute to the daily mailroom and clerical functions of a fast-paced, high-volume call center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Processing all inbound mail on a daily basis. This includes:

  • Opening mail as needed to determine type and appropriate recipient

  • Sorting mail in preparation for delivery

  • Delivering mail to the appropriate recipients

  • Scanning and imaging mail and then emailing it to out-of-office recipients

  • Ensuring all mail designated for disposal is deposited into a shred bin

  • Placing orders for and taking Inventory on in office envelope needs

  • Printing and preparing documents to be sent via outbound mail as per requests received by the Customer Experience Team and on some occasions, external departments

  • Updating accounts to reflect the correct returned mail status so the appropriate follow up can be conducted with applicable customers

  • Retrieving the daily list of manual cures, creating each cure while ensuring all regulatory and company policies are followed, and preparing the cures to be mailed to customers in accordance with regulatory and company policies

  • Gathering all checks received at the Fort Worth call center, identifying the account to which each check will be posted, properly notating applicable accounts, and electronically depositing each check by using the electronic check scanner and Wells Fargo online system


  • Excellent organizational skills in managing both physical and virtual pieces of data

  • Strong ability to acquire and apply new technical and industry knowledge quickly

  • Strong attention to detail to properly research mail properties and account items

  • Strong time management skills to ensure all required items are completed daily


  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience in a clerical or office setting is required

  • Previous mailroom experience is preferred

  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time

  • Must be okay with repetitive tasks
