CornerStone Staffing is seeking Customer Service Representatives who would like to work REMOTE! We are currently seeking candidates with call center and medical experience!

Job Title: Medical Biller - REMOTE!

Pay: $17/hr

Location: REMOTE *Must be a resident of either Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, Florida or Indiana to apply*

Hours: Training: 7am - 3:30pm but flexible schedule afterward!!!

Job Description:

• Submit medical claims to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare and Medicaid

• Responsible for the timely submission of technical or professional medical claims to insurance companies

• Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures

• Check eligibility and benefit verification

• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information

• Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing

• Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount

• Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary

• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances

• Research and appeal denied claims

• Answer all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts

• Set up patient payment plans and work collection accounts

• Update billing software with rate changes

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the A/R process

• Organized

• Detail Oriented

• Ability to multi-task

• Work well with others

• Computer literate

• Ability to meet position metrics goals (KPI s)

• Strong written and verbal communication skillls

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience

• 1+ years medical office work experience

• Healthcare and / or insurance billing, processing or customer service preferred
