The Medical Biller, or Insurance Billing Specialist, is responsible for organizing patient medical costs and sending invoices to collect payment from patients and their insurers.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Pay: $21-22/hr. (depending on experience)

Schedule:
8 hour shift between 8am-8pm Monday Friday (occasional Saturdays)

Job Description:

• Calling patients to discuss medical bill payment and develop reasonable bill payment plans

• Entering patient data into administrative systems and recording information about outstanding medical claims

• Perform completion of medical claims information for payers

• Submit medical billing information to the appropriate insurance providers

• Process medical claims

• Achieve maximum reimbursement for medical services provided

• Conduct reporting on medical claims

Preferred skills:

• One year experience in a customer service role handling customer needs over the phone, preferably medical customer service

• Healthcare customer service or call center experience

• Medical office experience

• Prefer healthcare work experience and familiarity with medical benefits, medical insurance, prescriptions

Education:

Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
