Medical Billing and Collections Specialist
Onsite | Irving, TX | $22 24/hr | Standard Business Hours | Long-Term Contract

We re seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team in Irving, TX. In this role, you'll be responsible for reconciling outstanding patient account balances and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of claims and collections. This position plays a key role in supporting internal teams and improving the overall patient financial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform medical billing and collections to ensure timely reimbursement

• Resolve insurance rejections, denials, and resubmissions in compliance with payor and government guidelines

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial billing regulations

• Respond to patient and insurance inquiries via phone, email, and written communication

• Accurately document account activity in internal systems

• Monitor and report on trends affecting payment delays

• Coordinate with third-party vendors for account placements and reporting (if applicable)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred

• 1 3 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or hospital business office environment preferred

• Familiarity with UB-04 and HCFA 1500 billing forms

• Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid billing processes highly preferred

• Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail
