Job Title: Patient Access Rep

Location: Lewisville, TX

Pay: $17.00/hr. - $18.50/hr. (based on experience)

Schedule: Hours of Operations are 7am - 7:30pm

Job Description:

Provide courteous assistance to patients and physician offices while scheduling and registering patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsible for collecting accurate demographic, insurance, and all other billing information, scheduling appointments in person order entry and performing any other duties necessary to provide efficient, timely services to the patients, their families and providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedules/confirms appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduling application.

• Explains exams/procedures, preparation instructions and location directions to patients and provider office staff.

• Contacts referring provider offices to obtain exam orders if necessary.

• Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate personnel.

• Consistently maintains composure during all calls, escalating to leads when warranted

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-3+ years related healthcare scheduling for multiple locations, medical terminology, physician billing and/or healthcare customer service support experience preferred.

• Call center or phone experience preferred.

• Previous customer service background required.

• Experience working with a computerized scheduling system preferred.

• Bilingual preferred
