CornerStone Staffing has partnered with a large healthcare organization in Frisco, TX, and we're on the hunt for a Patient Registration Specialist to help create smooth, stress-free patient experiences!

In this role, you ll be the friendly face welcoming patients, updating their information, processing paperwork, and collecting upfront payments. Location: On-site in Frisco, TX (75034)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:30am - 6:30pm (OT expected)

Pay: $20 to $25/hr (Based on Experience)

Duration: Temp to hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and update patient demographic and insurance information

• Register patients for hospital admissions and ensure accurate paperwork

• Collect co-pays and deductibles from patients

• Escort patients and paperwork to the preoperative area

• Explain hospital information, forms, and obtain necessary signatures

• Answer incoming calls from patients, triage their needs, and direct them to the right resources

• Provide assistance and direction to patients and family members

• Serve as a backup for the front desk

• Assist with scheduling when needed

• Utilize Meditech to register patients and collect payments

• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other departments

• Support hospital policies and work cooperatively with the team

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of experience in hospital based patient registration role (Physician office experience will not be considered)

• Ability to operate office equipment and multi-line phone system

• 45 wpm typing skills required

• Understanding of medical insurance benefits, co-pays, and collecting payments

• Medical terminology and computer experience

• Strong communication and multitasking skills

• Ability to work under pressure in high traffic setting

• Excellent customer service skills

• Critical thinking skills
