Job Title: Pest Control Technician

Location: Denton, TX

Pay Rate: $16/hr. - $20/hr. BOE

Duration: DIRECT HIRE! Be a permanent employee from day one!

Schedule:

• Hours of Operation: 8am - 7pm, Monday to Friday

• Must be available for an 8 hour shift within hours of operation.

• On busy weeks, weekend availability may be required.

Job Duties:

• Inspect property to ascertain possible sites of pest invasion and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent infestation

• Identify invading pests, including: rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitoes, or bed bugs.

• Fill out service reports including recommendations.

• Measure area dimensions requiring treatment

• Coordinate with CA to create treatment estimates.

• Apply chemical solutions, powders, and granules on or near surfaces of a building or house to eliminate pests.

• Ensure safety procedures are followed for application and reentry

• Utilize appropriate protective equipment during application

• Perform minor exclusion services

• Maintain service vehicle for organization, cleanliness, and working order

• Follow all TDA guidelines while managing daily route

• Build strong relationships with customers

• Be able to work flexible schedule as required including weekends and evenings

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Must have a valid driver's license

• Must be able to stand, bend, and stoop for duration of shift

• Ability to work from drawings or sketches as needed to perform duties

• Perform mathematical calculations to estimate time and materials needed for proposals and services

• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and ability to inspect attics, crawl spaces, and use ladder to inspect roof lines

• Have basic computer knowledge

• Enjoy working with others
