Location: Irving, TX (75063)

Pay: $18.50/hr

Start: 10/14

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9am 6pm (must be flexible to work extended hours during peak season)

Job Description:

• Assist Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and pharmaceutical care.

• Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system as directed by the supervising pharmacist.

• Handle prescription refills, including refill confirmations, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation, and process third-party claims adjudication.

• Ensure all orders are complete and accurate.

• Verify patient information and proper physician authorization.

• Support phone calls efficiently.

• Check orders for insurance approval.

• Read and interpret prescriptions.

• Calculate correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary systems.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

• Accurately process all orders in a timely manner.

• Assist in ensuring the accuracy of software templates.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

• Adhere to all relevant government regulations, including HIPAA.

Job Requirements/Previous Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in healthcare and/or pharmacy customer service.

• Typing speed of 35+ wpm.

• At least 1 year of experience in a Data Intake role.

• Ability to lift 40 pounds if needed for fulfillment support.

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and excellent multi-tasking skills.
