Job Title: Pharmacy Customer Service Representative
*** HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT***

Train on-site for 2 weeks and go fully remote for remainder of 2023

Train on-site for 1 week in JANUARY and return to a remote work environment
Training Location: Irving, TX
***MUST RESIDE IN DFW AREA***
Pay : $19/hr.
Schedule: 9am - 6pm

Typically Monday to Friday position, but candidate must be flexible to work Saturday's if needed

Up to 10 hours of OVERTIME offered during certain periods of the assignment
Job Responsibilities:
-
Provide assistance to physician office staff and patients via phone in regards to prescription information
-
Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by pharmacy regulation, and only at the direction of the supervising pharmacist after their review of the prescription in accordance with The Company policy and procedure

Show initiative and take an enthusiastic proactive approach to work

Process prescription refills to include: refill confirmation when appropriate, review pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, generate refill documentation and process third party claims adjudication

Phone support will start in January 2024 - must be okay with high volume calls!

Checks all orders for completeness of information

Verify patient information and proper physician authorization

Checks all orders for insurance approval
-
Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents

Responsible for assisting Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care

Accurately process all orders in a timely manner

Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required
-
Pharmacy Technician License highly desired
-
1-3 years of experience in a Data Entry, Customer Service or Retail Pharmacy

Lift 40 pounds in case support needed in fulfillment

Ability to manage high volume calls
-
Must be able to type 40+WPM with 100% accuracy
