Pharmacy Inventory Technician
Location: Irving, TX | Onsite
Compensation & Schedule
$20.00/hour
Mon Thurs 8:00am 5:30pm, rotating Fridays 9:00am 1:00pm or 1:00pm 5:00pm
Start date: ASAP

ROLE IMPACT
This position supports clinical research and pharmacy operations by managing the receipt, tracking, and rotation of drug inventory. The technician ensures accurate records of inbound shipments, expiry dates, and stock rotation. Success in this role means maintaining a well-organized inventory system that supports the safe and efficient dispensing of medications for research use.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and log inbound clinical research drug inventory
Monitor and manage expiring drug inventory and rotate stock accordingly
Maintain accurate records and reporting of inventory levels and drug movement
Support general pharmacy technician duties as needed, with an emphasis on inventory tasks
Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure proper handling and storage of all pharmaceuticals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Pharmacy Technician with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
1+ year of experience in pharmacy inventory or drug stockroom management
Proficient in basic computer systems for inventory tracking and reporting
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequent use of barcode scanners and pharmacy management systems
Standing and walking for extended periods
May lift up to 30 lbs during inventory tasks
Climate-controlled, indoor environment within a pharmaceutical facility

PREFERRED SKILLS
Prior experience with clinical trial or research drug inventory
Familiarity with drug recall and expiration tracking procedures
Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination
