CornerStone Staffing is recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to assist with Pyxis Cabinet Conversion on site at a major hospital.

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Will primarily be working at UNC Chapel Hill

Pay: $21.50/hr

Length : 6 month project - running through June 2023

Schedule: Mon - Thu between 10am - 6:30pm - Occasional Fridays

Job Description:

• Technicians will assist with Pyxis device movement to and from the site of conversion, as well as staging of new equipment in the storage , new equipment arrivals and returns as needed

• Technicians will provide support to PIT team technicians during the Pyxis conversion process by checking expiration dates and counting drug inventory for non-controlled medications

• Technicians will not participate in movement of any controlled substance

• Technicians may be asked to participate in drawer or cubie rearrangement/configurations as needed for upgrade

• Technicians will be under supervision of the PIT team at all times as related to drug movement, and supporting activities

• Process will require some training, so consistent staff is requested if possible, as to prevent frequent retraining

• Technicians will be asked to assist in conversions at multiple locations (UNCMC, HBO Hospital, Chatham, Wakebrook, offsite clinic locations) throughout the project timeline

Requirements:

• Must be a certified or licensed Pharmacy Technician

• Experience working in a retail or specialty pharmacy is highly preferred.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong communication skills and strong teamwork is required!

• Must be excellence, efficient and have high quality work!

• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid or have a qualifying exemption
