ROLE IMPACT
This temporary role drives key policy and research efforts that support equity-based initiatives and inclusive service delivery for the City of Dallas. The associate plays a vital part in shaping community strategies and advancing public-sector innovation that promotes social mobility and equitable development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct research and analysis on economic development, immigration policy, and urban equity programs
Develop public engagement strategies that support inclusive access to city services
Recommend policy improvements and contribute to program design that fosters community investment
Draft reports, policy briefs, and materials for diverse stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related field
2+ years experience in policy research, community development, or strategic planning
Demonstrated understanding of equity-driven public initiatives, immigration frameworks, and inclusive governance
Strong communication skills; proven ability to draft high-quality written content for broad audiences

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Research databases and policy modeling tools
Collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom)
Public communication platforms and CMS tools

PREFERRED SKILLS
Master s degree in a related field
Background in urban policy innovation or civic technology
Experience working with underrepresented communities and advocacy groups
