We are hiring for Reimbursement Specialist

Location: WORK FROM HOME- FULLY REMOTE - EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

Candidates must reside in TX, AZ, IN, KY, NC, SC, GA, FL in order to be considered for this role

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: 8 hour shift between 7am - 7pm CST / 8am - 8pm EST

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Micro-Hub program leadership, the Reimbursement Specialist is a remote position responsible for performing specific reimbursement functions associated with completing a medical and/or pharmacy benefit investigation. Initially, the Reimbursement Specialist will utilize data from the MedeBV transaction to complete a medical benefit investigation. This process involves calling on specific payers to obtain the necessary missing data to finalize the benefit investigation. The Reimbursement Specialist may also complete other documentation as required for daily reporting and performance measurement activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collects and reviews all patient insurance benefit information from the payer, to the degree authorized by the SOP of the program.

  2. Provides exceptional customer service to all internal team members; resolves any requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalates issues accordingly.

  3. Maintains frequent phone contact with assigned payers.

  4. Communicates effectively to payers to ensure accurate and timely benefit investigations.

  5. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined standard operating procedures to determine appropriate action.

  6. Ability to work remotely; typically receives little instruction on day-to-day work,

  7. Achieves or exceeds daily and weekly performance targets for BV completion.

  8. Performs related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School, Diploma, or GED required

  • Previous 1+ years of experience in a service-oriented position that requires attention to detail and basic computer skills

  • Must have healthcare industry experience in a call center environment
