Job Title: Revenue Accounting Clerk/Collector

Location: Burleson, TX 76028 (On Site)

Pay: $17.00/Hr.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Essential duties:

Responsible for thorough and timely patient account follow up to ensure timely accounts receivable reporting. In addition, payments by primary and secondary payers and/or self-pay patients are accurate. Daily generation of patient payments and applying unapplied payments. Provide timely, accurate, and professional responses and resolution.

Job Description:

• Accurate and timely follow up and resolution of all accounts receivable

• Meeting and maintaining cash collection metrics and goals

• Understand EOB/COB and can explain it to patients when necessary

• Manage past due patient accounts

• Respond to a high volume of patient calls generated from self-pay statements

• Analyze self-pay balances to determine patient responsibility

• Submit services to the insurance carrier

• Establish payment plans

• Processes patient payments

• Research all returned mail

Requirements/Duties:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 2+ years' experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Experience working in customer service or patient collections is preferred

• Expereicne with Microsoft Office pacakges; Excel

• 2 to 5 years experience in a m edical office, hospital, outpatient surgery center or related field

• Possess excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
