We are partnered with a customer that is a major telecommunication company in the DFW area.

Job Title: Support Technician (Tier 2)

Location: Irving, TX

Pay: 20.00/hr

Schedule: candidates MUST be flexible to work an 8hr shift between the hours noted below. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

  • 24 hour operation.

Responsibilities/Summary:

  • The Support Tech provides day-to-day technical support to retail stores for point-of-sale, network infrastructure, and desktop systems software and hardware.

  • Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support.

  • Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, point-of-sale, servers and network.

  • Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.

  • Responds to client escalations and drives incidents to resolution.

Primary Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years technical support experience in Helpdesk environment

  • Strong understanding of IT configuration and troubleshooting including network, PC, point-of-sale

  • Must be able to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong incident recording in ticketing systems (i.e.: Service Now, Remedy) / Incident Resolution

  • Thorough understanding of escalation and conflict resolutions

  • Competent communication verbal and written

  • Very detailed oriented

  • Type 40+ words per minute

  • Proficient use of standard Microsoft products (i.e.: Excel, Word)

  • Ability to manage customers and Retail personnel support calls successfully and professionally

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
