Title: Training Support Specialist

PAY: $20/hr.

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday but flexible to work OT and Saturday

Location: Irving, TX ON SITE role with minimal remote work

Position Summary: The Training Support specialist is responsible for training department team members and supporting Operational Lead(s) to meet SLAs, resolve support desk tickets and assist with month-end closing activities. The training specialist is required to schedule, develop and deliver team member training sessions, review and update process/procedure documentation, respond to department team members day-to-day process questions, and identify associate knowledge and skill gaps through discussions with management team.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Identify and assess departmental training and development needs through associate observation and consultation with department manager and supervisor

    • Develop and maintain department annual training plan

    • Develop, design and deliver individualized and group training for current and temporary associates, including training materials and course content, that prepares associates to successfully complete their assigned responsibilities, get the best results and maximize productivity

    • Review error reports and support desk tickets to identify possible training opportunities

    • Review and update operational procedures and process documentation on an on-going basis and confirm it is comprehensive, complete and accurate

    • Update the department process/procedures documentation (SOPs) and notify E-Learning specialist as needed

    • Maintain training records for each trainee that include session attendance and provide feedback via report cards to supervisors and manager

    • Meet monthly with supervisors and manager to review training needs

    • Attend required training sessions and meetings provided by the Training Manager

    • Demonstrate a positive customer service approach in all interactions with trainees, Store associates and other customers

    • Assist operational lead(s) during blackout periods or month-end activities (no training sessions scheduled)

    • Identify and recommend process improvements that would result in better accuracy and more efficiency


  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in training

  • Strong communication skills with previous documentation experience

  • Strong MS Office experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to produce high quality work while under deadline pressure
